Here are a few personal notes:
*I was a high school athlete, participating in several sports including football, basketball, and even rodeo. I was honored as an All-District 4-A Lineman for Houston ISD and later earned a college football scholarship as I continued to advance my education.
*Another sport I enjoyed in high school was rodeo. I became president of the Rodeo Club, the first rodeo club inMilby High School's existence. I placed two times with the Grand Champion Bull for Houston ISD, and was a bull rider for several seasons.
*Partnering with my local church, for sixteen years I participated in leadership roles to host the Urban Camp experience for inner-city teens. This event gave numerous young people an opportunity to enjoy a first-time camping experience.
*Both my father and my grandfather recognized in me as a child an innate love for the outdoors. They kindly and lovingly provided hunting and fishing adventures during memorable bonding experiences. This settled deeply into my heart and later developed into the dream of hosting father/child hunting and fishing adventures on a wider scale. The GHCOF Ministry has completed more than 25 years in service to Texas families.
*I have always been a "people person" and truly enjoy being in a large gathering or having a one-on-one conversation with just about anybody around. My wife says I can "talk to the wall and make it talk back!"
